Happy Holidays! Can you believe that 2012 is almost over? The month of December is always filled with festive holiday events, from work parties to family gatherings, but for me, New Year's Eve always steals the spotlight. Maybe its the promise of the upcoming year ahead, the cheery atmosphere, confetti, or just copious amounts of bubbly, but I have always found New Year's Eve to be one of the most glamourous and exciting holidays. With that said, I have already begun my NYE dress planning and wanted to share some of my ideas with you!
If I could pick one time period to live in other than the 21st century, I would go with the 1920's (also known as the Roaring 20s!) That era was filled with glamour, jazz, and unbelievable style. This look is a modern take on the famous 1920's flapper. The feather dress is fun and flirty, and the gold details elevate this outfit and blend beautifully with the cream colour palette. Without a doubt, all that is needed to complete this look is a flute of champagne!

This look is inspired by the latest James Bond movie Skyfall. Everyone in the audience was captivated by the femme fatale appearance of Berenice Marlohe, the stunning Bond girl in this movie. In this look, the lace dress, paired with berry stained lips, spiked suede heels, and dazzling earrings, is sure to steal the show just like Berenice's mesmerizing performance.

I have always associated sequin dresses with New Year's Eve. They are so flattering and look amazing on both blondes and brunettes. Sequin dresses are so dazzling, sparkly, and shiny, that it's almost impossible not to feel fun, sexy, and festive in them. Paired with wavy hair, a nude lip, sparkly stilettos, and cascading rose gold earrings, this is the ultimate New Year's Eve look.
What do you think? If you had to choose, which outfit would you wear to celebrate the new year?
Love,

I would go for the first outfit. Love the dress and the earrings. Although I love the third outfit too - the shoes :)
ReplyDeleteSo so great! I would probably wear that first outfit but wouldn't complain with any of them.
