The weather in Vancouver has been so nice lately. It feels like summer is just around the corner, and I've definitely enjoyed not having to wear a jacket or a blazer anymore to work.
When these photos were taken the temperatures dropped down a bit, so I decided to wear a warm maroon sweater and pair it with a classic A-line skirt. I hated maroon when I was younger but now the colour is starting to really grow on me. There is something so warm and inviting about maroon. While I usually reserve this colour for colder months, it looked so lovely paired with a navy skirt so I just couldn't resist.
I have a soft spot for vintage looks and this entire outfit turned out retro and so reminiscent of the 1950s... a decade that I absolutely love for its glamour and sophistication. It was the perfect outfit for a nice afternoon stroll in Londsdale Quay in North Vancouver. The view of the downtown skyline is so gorgeous from there - it's definitely one of my favourite spots in the city.
