Jacob sweater, Lululemon Lab skirt, Club Monaco belt, Danier purse, Lola Ramona heels, Reitmans sunnies.

The weather in Vancouver has been so nice lately. It feels like summer is just around the corner, and I’ve definitely enjoyed not having to wear a jacket or a blazer anymore to work. When these photos were taken the temperatures dropped down a bit, so I decided to wear a warm maroon sweater and pair it with a classic A-line skirt. I hated maroon when I was younger but now the colour is starting to really grow on me. There is something so warm and inviting about maroon. While I usually reserve this colour for colder months, it looked so lovely paired with a navy skirt so I just couldn’t resist.  I have a soft spot for vintage looks and this entire outfit turned out retro and so reminiscent of the 1960s… a decade that I absolutely love for its glamour and sophistication. It was the perfect outfit for a nice afternoon stroll in Londsdale Quay in North Vancouver. The view of the downtown skyline is so gorgeous from there – it’s definitely one of my favourite spots in the city.

Maroon is a beautiful colour on you, Ana – it’s a good thing you’ve warmed up to it over the years because you were certainly meant to wear it!

Looking very pretty Ana. I love the navy skirt and top, I think the pearls really help in giving this outfit more of a retro feel.
