I want to begin this post by apologizing for not blogging in a while. As I mentioned in my last post, I started a new job and have been in the process of re-adjusting to a new routine. Starting a new role with a new company always takes some time to get used to. I'm happy to report that the transition has been relatively smooth. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, my new role is focused on everything digital. It's been so much fun doing what I love to do on a daily basis: strategizing, building websites, writing, tweeting, etc. I'm a complete tech nerd when it comes to the Internet so I am very happy. Building online communities and branding is a rewarding challenge. I'm very excited to see how things grow in the next coming year!
Anyway, back to what this blog is really about -- fashion. I did a major closet overhaul a week ago and reduced the size of my closet in half. Looking back at it now, I wish I added this blue silk Wilfred skirt to the donation pile. :( This skirt is so cute and feminine in real life, but OH MY GOD, does it photograph terribly. Everything about it is all wrong in these pictures. You have no idea how hard it was for me to publish this post, being a perfectionist and all. I'm actually cringing as I type this.
After examining my closet I am more and more convinced that I don't really have a sense of style at all. Sometimes I feel silly for even having a personal style blog. It might sound harsh but I feel like my style needs more refinement and that maybe ditching most of my closet was for the best. My style has always been a reflection of my randomness. My next goal is to resume ruthlessly eliminating clothes that no longer flatter me or suit my style before I begin to re-build my wardrobe with solid basics.
